Warner's ABC Bras
The corset stopped selling, so the company's new CEO decided to develop new products. Then in 1973 Warner Company made history by assigning to cup sizes. The ABC way of bra sizing is still what we use today. The company's business was booming again. Making a total of $1 million by 1947.
A partnership with Du Pont and Warner's created the invention of Lycra. Lycra allowed better shape wear and more snug-fitting bras. In the 1950's Warner's started introducing men’s wear, accessories, and sportswear for men and women. Warner's started selling items in large department stores like Sears and JC Penny. The company then started selling in America and Europe. Warner's bought American polo manufacturer C.F Hathaway which helped the company's sportswear line. Warner's soon made $100 million in revenue.
